An educational program providing individualised one to one learning for children and young people that might currently need an alternative to mainstream education.
With the help of our range of friendly and amenable small (and slightly larger) animals, we aim to deliver learning sessions that are fun and interactive, whilst developing confidence and promoting self-esteem.
Children and young people will have the opportunity to carry out practical tasks with the animals, use arts & crafts and develop their research & IT skills, whilst learning about the animals and their care and as a registered ASDAN centre, studies can lead to an accredited certificated award.
If you would like to make a referral to Animal Connections, in the first instance we would appreciate a conversation so please contact us. We will respond within 24 hours.
Following this we offer a free introductory meeting and walkabout to discuss what the goals may be and what we can offer. If after this process has taken place, we agree that Animal Connections is an appropriate service to suit the clients needs we will ask for a referral and information form to be completed.
You can also find us on the WSCC local offer page.
